Fast, cheap, and good. Which of these all too often needs to be eliminated for the good a product to succeed?
I'm not a fan of the wait. In fact, impatience has been my biggest enemy throughout my life. Most of my professional career was based on the fact that I could do anything faster than anyone else involved. But what happens when the business-train slows down? No one hit the brakes, it's just not moving at the speed you're accustomed to. It's hard - infuriating even. But, this doesn't mean that progress has stopped.
Faced with the fact that my biggest current concern at this moment is time - I'm held hostage. There's nothing left to do but ride, and in the meantime, polish, perfect, and re-analyze plans.
This train will get there eventually, there's no doubt. There IS an arrival time. I just have to let little victories be my prize until then.
